Description

Our Latin course is for people who are fascinated by Latin language and Roman civilisation.  It is divided into 3 parts –  primus, secundus and tertius – each lasting 6 weeks.  You will learn the basics of Latin – verbs, nouns, “cases” as well as touching on important landmarks of Roman civilisation.  We’ll also look at the continued use of Latin in taxonomy (classification) in fields such as biology/botany  as well as in the Law, and examine Latin expressions we use on a day-to-day basis.
