Language Academy Terms and Conditions
Fees are payable in advance. They are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable (you can’t transfer them to another course or to another person). Please make sure you are available for the full course before enrolling and paying.
Cancellation of courses
You can assume your course is going ahead unless we advise you to the contrary, in which case you will receive a full refund. We will not usually cancel courses with less than 5 working days’ notice.
Joining courses that have already started
This is allowed, subject to availability. You will be asked to pay on a pro-rata basis.
We will endeavour to cover sick/absent teachers/course leaders so that the course runs to schedule. In the unlikely event we cancel a lesson, this will be rescheduled at our discretion.
Please be sure that you are joining a course at an appropriate level. You can check this by referring to the levels guide on our website. There will be no refund if the course is not right for you in terms of level but we may, at our discretion, offer you a place on another course, although this may be at a different time/on a different day.
Use of images on social media and otherwise online
We may take photos or videos of you/your class from time to time for publicity purposes. If you do not ask us not to do this at the time (please advise us) we will assume you grant us the right to use these images.
Students with disabilities
We will enable attendance for students with all and any disabilities but please be advised that some venues are above ground floor and do not have lifts.
We use reasonable efforts to ensure that our partners abroad offer good quality, well-organised courses, but cannot be held liable for any shortcomings. We will however pursue any complaints on your behalf. We are not a tour operator and do not offer a flight booking service – you need to book your own flights and ensure you arrive in time for the course start date.
